Basilica  of  Saint Mary  was  the  site  of  Beverly Moulic  and  Joe  Moon's  wedding  ceremony . The  Basilica  is  the  first   Catholic  Basilica  in  the  United  States  and one  of  Minneapolis'  most  important  landmark .

Silverio ( or Boy ) and  Tita (  nee Carrera) Moulic  gained a  new  son  when  their  only  daughter , Beverly , said " I  do  " to  Joe  Moon  on November 14th , 2009 . The  wedding  took  place  at  the  Basilica  Of  Saint  Mary  in  Minneapolis , Minnesota .

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The  catholic  rite  was  followed  by  a  traditional  Korean  Wedding  ceremony  at  the  Dome of  Millenium Hotel at  Nicollet  Mall  in  Minneapolis . The  wedding  party donned  the  traditional  Korean  kimono . The  newly - wed  couple  bowed  down  in  front  of  the  elders  as  a  sign  of  respect . The   elders  showered  them  with  money , fruits  and  other  stuffs .  The  elders , in  turn , are  given  free  drinks  like  sake , korean  wine  or  whatever  beverage  is  available . In  Beverly's  side , the  elders  included  her  Dad , her  Mom  and  her  grandmother ( Tita's  Mom ) , who  got  a  little  tipsy  after  their  drinks .

Beverly  and  Joe  in their  traditional  Korean  attires , with  Joe's  family  after  the  traditional  wedding  ceremony .    

After  the  Korean  ceremony  , the  dinner -dance  followed  at   the  same  hotel .

  Sil  and  Beverly  did  the  traditional  father  and  daughter  dance ..

REMEMBRANCE DAY : CANADA'S TRIBUTE

 

 

" In  Flanders  Fields  Where  Poppies  Grow " is  a  poem  to  commemorate  REMEMBRANCE  DAY  in  Canada . Poppies  are  worn  by  Canadians  from  East  to  West  on  the  week  of  Remembrance  Day  to  show  they  remember   and  they  care .

      
 
     

 

 

 

 

 

Every  year on  November 11th , Canadians  pause in  a  silent  moment  to  remember  men  and  women  who  have  served  and  still  continue  to  serve  Canada  during  times   of  war , during  conflicts  and  even  in peace . We  honour  those  who  fought  in  the  First  World  War  , the  Second  World  War  and  the  Korean  War  and   all  those  who  still  serve   since  then .

More  than  1,500,000  Canadians  have  served  our  country  this  way  and  more  than  100,000  have  died . They  gave  their  lives  and  their  futures   so  that we may  live  in  peace .

   ODE  OF  REMEMBRANCE   

  They  went  with  songs  to  the  battle , they  were  young

  Straight of  limb , true  of  eyes , steady  and  aglow

  They  were  staunch to  the  end  against  all odds uncounted

  They  fell with  their  faces  to  the  foe

  They  shall  not  grow  old , as we  that  are left  grow  old .

  Age shall  not  weary  them , nor  the  years  condemn

  At  the  going down of  the  sun  and  in  the  morning

  We  will  remember  them

  LEST  WE  FORGET....

Let  us  remember  them  in  our  prayers . Let  us  pray  for  our  country  of  birth , Philippines  and  our  adopted  country , Canada . God  bless  these  countries ! ! ! God  Bless  us ! ! !
