Just received an email from Pec Visperas, based in Sydney, that "Tia Metching" Mercedes Cera-Bergado, auntie of my good friend Bobby Biala, passed away yesterday, October 15, 2007 in Salinas, California. In this picture, Tia Metching (white haired) is joined by her sister "Tia Meding" Demetria Cera-Biala, Bobby Biala and Tess Biala-Visperas.
I am trying to get in touch with Bobby by phone to get more details about the funeral.
(Oct 17 2007) Finally reached Bobby by phone. Tia Metching was overheard saying that, "I have had a good life." She moved on to the next life at the age of 93. Her body will be buried on Friday, October 19, 2007 in Salinas, California. Friends and relatives, from as far away as hometown Mangaldan have arrived to send off the great spirit of Tia Metching and celebrate her legacy of a loving life.

It was a few months ago that I posted the reunion of the Ceras and Bialas with Tia Metching . Nobody knew that it would be the last time Tia Meding and her family who flew from the Philippines , Australia and Toronto would see and enjoy her company . Please accept my deepest sympathy for her passing on . She will be remembered in my prayers . God bless her soul ..
