July 29th , 2007 was the much awaited picnic of the Mangaldan Association of North California . It was held at the Orange Park in South San Francisco . There was a good turn out at the picnic . Bona ( nee de Vera ) and Melchor Parayno ( from South California ) attended the picnic . From our hometown of Mangaldan , Butch Ydia and wife Diana ( nee Exconde ) , Diana's brother and his wife and Belen Abril Tambalo were present during this special event . The new immigrants , Rey and Melba ( nee Garcia ) Casaclang were welcomed by the group . It was also the occasion for the election of new officers of the Association .

One of the founders of MAONCA , Don Manuel de Vera was on hand to greet the members and the visitors with Marlene de Vera , Lani M .Basuel , and Thelma Lalaquit and new immigrant Rey Casaclang .

Am I seeing an all-female set of officers?....what happened to the guys? Good luck...and more sucess to the new officers.
I know that the officers and members of "MAONCA" will always be true to that name....""MA-U-MAUNG Ka!" *(as in becoming better)...and not "MA-MAONG KA CA!!!".

Congratulations to new officers of Maonca. Good job Ditas. I can still remember our drive to Vallejo with Dick and Gus Tamondong last year?. I wish you and your management team the best.I can see some exchanges visits between MAONCA members to Sydney and vice versa from the Mangaldan & Friends Association of Australia to California.
