STCS ALUMNI REGULAR MONTHLY  MEETING HIGHLIGHTS

AUGUST 12, 2007

The meeting was presided by Wilfredo V. Mir, STHS Alumni Vice- President, in the absence of  Pres. Fe Tolentino-Datuin, who was indisposed (sick with flu). It was attended by around 40 alumni from the different classes/batches.  Attached is the  list of attendees.

Hereunder are  the highlights of the Meeting:

1.    STCS Alumni Fund	Mr. Mir  reported  that  Ms. Lucia De Vera turned over to the Alumni Association the amount of U$709.00. According to him, this was the money left from the Golden Diamond Celebration way back  in 1998. The amount was used to open a dollar account at  the Bank of the Philippine Island (BPI) - Mangaldan.	US$ Dollar Account U$1,000.00 initial deposit was opened at BPI - Mangaldan. Phil. Peso Account An initial P15,000.00 was  deposited also at BPI - Mangaldan.
2.    Uniform T-shirts     Color Coding	Mrs. Luz Samson -Quinto, C’67  had contacted a supplier who will  sew all  the alumni t-shirts  with collar and front pocket.  The name of the alumnus (sticker paper)  will be placed just above the front pocket. The Class Yr. will be printed at the back at sample of  the t-shirt will be presented to the body next meeting,  on Sept. 9, 2007.	Cost per t-shirt is P150.00. Coordinate with your class coordinators for the sizes of your t -shirts. (Small,  Medium  Large, XL, XXL or XXXL)
a. Class 1970 –       1979 t-shirts        color	Lavender or violet  is unavailable,  so   the representatives from C’70 - C’79  chose another color based from the sample cloths shown.  The group unanimously selected sunkist (orange)  as the official color of  Class ‘70 –’79.	Sunkist (orange) is the official color of  Class ‘70 - Class ’79.
2.  STCS  Diamond      Celebration      Souvenir Book  a) Contract Price     of Souvenir         Book   Ads	The Souvenir Book Ads will be circulated by  2nd week of February 2008. Reiteration of  Prices  for the Ads 1 full page ad - P2,500.00   half-page ad - P1,500.00	Souvenir Book  Ads  payment/ pledges  should be  submitted  to the Souvenir Program Committee by EO Oct.  2007. Send both  hard and soft copies of your ads/l logos/ pictures/ message/s or  greetings.  Attached is the Contract Ad.
b)  Payment by       Class/Batch	Two pages compulsory  at P2,500.00/ page.  First page will be for the  HS photos, while the 2nd page  for recent pictures, like reunion pictures, other  occasions,  etc.	P5,000.00 is the total payment for the Souvenir Book per Class/Batch.
3. Articles for the         STHS Diamond       Anniversary       Souvenir Book	The STCS  Diamond  Souvenir  Book Committee is encouraging all Alumni to write their experiences/ accomplishments or anything interesting  worth sharing. (Recollection of the Past). Please include photos  in your write-up.	Deadline  for  the submission of articles  is on or before  October 2007 .
4. Alumni      Registration  Fee     by  Class/ Batch is      P5,000.00 except        Class  2003 up	The Alumni Officers are now accepting  registration fees to fund the requirements of the different Working Committees.	Payment  of Registration by Class is now open, except Class 2003 and up.
5. Regular Alumni      Meeting  Schedule	Due to time constraints, and still a lot of preparations  to do, the Body decided to meet twice a month effective September, 2007.  Please  invite  your Class/Batch    representatives/coordinators to attend the regular meetings for updates.	The Regular Alumni Meeting will be held every 2nd Sunday and 4th Sunday of the month, 2:00  p.m. effective September 2007 at the STCS.
6.  Alumni Medical              and Dental       Mission	Invited  the Alumni to donate medicines, supplies and materials, food, alumni medical/dental   personnel and other  volunteers  to render their services free of charge. Alumni from C ‘56 present during the meeting  committed to donate 1  box of medicines and  volunteer medical /dental personnel.	All donations/ pledges can be sent  directly  at the  STCS Admin.  c/o  Dir. Fr.  Joel  Ymson or   Principal Arnulfo Tanguilig, Principal
7.  Construction of      the Alumni Gym      and Faculty      Building	The STCS Administration  is continuously appealing for your generous support for the construction of the  Faculty and Alumni Gym. Attached is the progress of the construction of the gym  and faculty building, taken last August 12, 2007.	All donations/ pledges can be sent directly to   Fr.  Joel  Ymson , STCS  Director  or   Mr. Arnulfo Tanguilig, Principal
8. Diamond      Anniversary       Celebration      Souvenir Items/      Tokens	Class should take charge of selling souvenir items/ tokens for the 3-day Anniversary celebration.	Class ‘03 will be in -charge of  souvenir  items  during  the celebration.
9. Stage Decorations	Mr. Elmo Tolentino, C’63 volunteered to take charge of the  stage decorations.	Class ’63  shall be in-charge of the Stage decorations.
10. Next General      Alumni Assoc.        Meeting	As initially agreed, effective Sept. 2007, the Group  will already meet twice  a-month.	The Regular  Alumni Meeting  will  be on  Sunday, September  9, 2007,  2:00 p.m. the STCS.
11.  Adjournment	The meeting was adjourned at  4:30 p.m.
