To Anne E. Buaron,
Thanks for your heartwarming comments. You asked when the Grand Reunion of MCS alumni will be. We are still gathering names of alumni by batch. Some alumni have been holding their own class reunions. In fact, your dad and his classmates celebrated their golden anniverasy last March here at the MCS social hall. They invited me to their luncheon reunion. On the other hand, MCS alumni residing in California will be hosting some kind of reunion on July 13. They have sent out flyers and a copy is posted here in Aliguas.
Keep in touch!

My dear Marie,
I told the senior retirees about your comments (and the comments of Anne Buaron) and they all asked me to print it. Well, I printed several copies for them and they were very happy to be remembered by their former pupils.(Ssh, they were overwhelmed by the idea that their names and pictures appeared in Aliguas.) Actually, there were about 50 retirees who attended the get-together, including 10 balikbayans, but it was difficult to have everyone pose as one complete goup. Anyway, they send their love and regards to you and their other beloved pupils.

Dear Madam Principal,

WOW! Seeing our formers elementary teachers still very much active and alive bring us memories to our childhood and puberty years! All of us, 11 siblings of Mrs and Mrs. Francisco C.Evangelista, Sr. were alumni of MCS. So glad to see the picture of our Grade IV-I adviser, Mrs. Felicidad Arenas. I could never forget her, cause she had selected and nominated me among the many students of MCS, as "Model Pupil of the Year", a national award sponsored by the Children's Library Museum , Inc.(CLMI), which I eventually won, together with Dr. Butch Ydia, who was in Grade 3.(In fact, the Certificate and Medal is still with me). Ms. Ludy Mir, our very good English teacher in Grade 3, also an alumnus of STCS. Our former principal Mrs. Castro, mother of our classmate and barkada Max Castro and our former teachers like Mrs. Biala, Mrs. Ramat, Mrs.Tirante, Mrs. Palisoc, Mrs. Torralba, Mrs. Surot, etc.

To all of you, our dear former teachers, salamat ya balbaleg ed sikayon amin. In a way, we owe to you what we have become today.

Madam Principal Cera, when will we have our Elementary Grand Reunion? We miss and look forward of seeing our former classmates/ batchmates and teachers, too.

My dear Tita ,

Tia Feling's idea of the Mangaldan Central School Retirees getting together was an excellent idea . It is quite a great feeling looking at our former teachers' pictures . It truly gave me a feeling of nostalgia . I was transported back to my elementary years specially when I saw the pictures of my Grade 1 adviser- teacher , Mrs. Anna B. Biala and my Grade IV adviser-teacher , Mrs. Felicidad F. Arenas and Mrs. Nieves P. Castro , my Tagalog teacher in Grade V . Looking back at all the teachers in the pictures truly establishes reconnections among us and our early education in the Mangaldan Central School . Thanks for helping us learn our ABCs , dear beloved teachers . The knowledge and the right way of life you imparted to us have come a long way .

Good work to Tia Feling and the rest of the MCS retirees and to you , Tita and all of those who are involved in this get- together ..I hope to see more get togethers of our former teachers ..

Marie
