Fifteen Vie For the Miss Mangaldan Title

Fifteen  young  hopeful  beauties  made the  cut , after a  series  of   selections  conducted  by  the  Screening  Commitee ,  to  contest  the  much  coveted  Miss   Mangaldan  tiara  and  the  opportunity  to  represent  the  municipality  in  its  social  functions .

A  number  of  aspirants  trooped  to  the  SB  Building  for  their  screening   last  December  13th  and  20th , 2008  , with  their  talent  scouts  and  make-up  artists  in  tow  . The  Pre- Pageant  Screening  Committe , headed  by  EXECOM  Chair  SB  Kgd.  Atty .  Joseph  Emmanuel  B.  Cera  , includes  councilors  Teresa  Abalos    and  Alberto  Leo  Fabia ; SB  Secretary  , Mrs . Dominica  Marayag ; Mr. Constantine  Visperas , the  Pageant  Diractor , and  Mr. Bienvenido  Biagtan .

The  final  list  of  Miss  Mangaldan  2009   candidates  was  officially    released  and  presented  to  the  Town  Fiesta  Working  Committees  during  the  Swimwear  pictorial  held  at  the  Leisure  Coast Resort  in  Bonuan , Dagupan  City   on  January  4th , this  year .  They  are  Stefi-Anne V. Cabailo , Madelyn B. Dizon , Apple  Joy V. Terte , Aireen  G. Garcia , Melody  G. Quiroz , Charmaine Gayle C. De Vera , Rosalyn  E. Suratos , Mary  Angelica  M. Aquino  ,  Roda  P.  Castaneto ,  Carla  Joy  G. Geneta , Mary  Rose  B. Palma  ,  Jessirine  Dispo , Honey  Lyn  M.  Dizon  , Anthea  Angelica  M . Nubla  and Stephanie Rae  Zulueta . The  two  pictures  below   show  the  candidates  in  their  shorts  and  red  tops  taken  at  the  kiosk  in  the  Mangaldan  Public  Auditorium  and  in  front  of    the  Mangaldan  Town  Hall . 

The  Grand  Pageant  Night   will be  on   Valentine's  Day  , February  14th , 2009 . At  stake  is  the  plum  role  and  title  of  Miss  Mangaldan  2009 . The  winner's  grand  prize is  P 30,000.00 and  a  trophy  , aside  from  being  judged  as  the  most  beautiful  Mangaldanian . The  First  and  Second  runners-up  will  be  bringing  home   P 20,000.00  and  P 10,000.00  respectively  . Another  activity  connected  to  the  annual  Town  Fiesta  celebration   is  the   much -awaited  Annual  Talent  Search   which  will  be  held  on  Saturday , February 7th , 2009  at  the  Mangaldan  Public  Plaza  Auditorium .
