I could not keep myself from writing this discovery... after posting the pictures and article of the Mangaldan and Friends Association of Australia today...the front page of Aliguas Mangaldan (dateline: Oct 30 2007) shows Mangaldanian migrant families across the seas providing social support to each other, keeping that bond alive. This particular page simply spells... "Celebrating Life!"
To all Kabaleyans planning to migrate, or are in the early years of being a migrant, these pictures are sources of inspiration... a goal that is attainable. The first years would be a hurdle, but through grit and determination, and borrowing the words of ML King, "We shall overcome." In places where we have our Kabaleyans who have already taken root, there will be that all important social support, the encouragement that in the near future, aspirations and dreams will come true.
Messages and invitations for February and March 2008 are moving online. Many of our migrant Kabaleyans are going to visit our home town, Mangaldan. That promises to be a great event when we can renew ties and bond together. Let's see each other again ... and ... "Celebrate Life!"
