IT IS LAS VEGAS TIME IN LESS THAN THREE WEEKS ! ! !

The  deadline  for  payments  of  the  reunion  dues  has  passed  so  we  have  the  final  count  of   kabaleyans  who  will  be  in  Las  Vegas .

There  are  three  days  to  enjoy   each  other's  company , and  in  some  cases  , we  have four  days  ..

Unofficially  , the  first  day  starts  with  the   Grand  Canyon  Tour  . It  is  on  October  22  , Thursday , 2009 . As  of  today  , we  have  about  40  people  who  are  signed  up  for  the  tour .  The  bus  will  pick  up  the  excursionists  at  Gold  Coast  Casino Hotel  at  6:20 am. So , sleep early  on  the  21st , arrange  a  wake  up  call  with  the hotel  desk  for  about  5:00am  ( depending  on  how  fast  you  dress  up ) .  Wear  comfortable  clothes  and  comfortable  shoes  .  Bring  your  hats , too  . Excursionists  will be given  a  continental  breakfast  after  the  pick-up  time . Then  the  sight seeing  tour  starts  after  the  simple  breakfast . Bring  something  to  snack  on  between  meals  . We  will be  provided  with  a  full lunch  and  more  sight-seeing  tour after  lunch . We  will  be  be  dropped  off  back  at  the  Gold  Coast  Casino  hotel  by  7:00 pm . Do  we  sound  like   mother  hens  ?  We  get  many  queries  so  these  are  the  answers .  We  want   you  to  enjoy  the  tour .

Friday , October 23 , 2009  will  be  the  official  start  of  the  reunion . The  Welcome  / Registration   and  Fellowship Night  for  attendees  will  kick  in . The  venue  for  that  event  will  be  at  the  Nevada  Ballroom  A and  B at  the  2nd  Floor  of  the  Gold  Coast  Casino  Hotel . Registration  will  be  at  the  foyer  of  the  ballroom .  Upon  registering  your  names  as  payees , each  guest   will   be  given  a  Manila  envelope  which  contains  the   program  of  activities  that  night  , tickets  for  the  Gala Night  and  the  Picnic  and  the  name  tag . You  can  also  pick  up  the  official  MIO  T-shirt  to  be  worn  during  the  picnic  at  $ 5.00 ( US )   each . The  Souvenir  Program  (  or  Journal )  will be   given  out  to  the  advertizers . Non - advertizers  can  buy  them  for  $ 15.00 ( US )  . Registration  starts  at  4:00 pm.  At  7:00 pm ,  a  light  meal ( mostly appetizers )  will  be  served  buffet - style . There  will  be  a  Cash Bar  in  the  dining  area  from  6:00 pm to  9:00 pm.  At  7:30 pm, the  Welcome  and  Fellowship   Program  will  start . We  invite  all  registrants  to  attend  and  participate  in  this  fun  night  which lasts  till  midnight . 

Attire  for  this  evening  will be dressy  casual ...

Saturday , October  24th  is  the GALA  NIGHT  and  a  special  night for  us . Attires  will  be formal . Ladies   are  requested  to  wear  either  Filipino  formal  gowns ( preferably , if  available )  or  any  formal  gown . Men  are  requested  to  wear  either  Barong Tagalog ( preferably, if  available ) or  formal  suits . The  event  starts  at 6:00 pm . Cash  Bar  opens  at 6:00pm to 11:00 pm . Present  your  Gala  Night  tickets  at  the  entrance  of  the  Arizona  Ballroom  at  the  Gold  Coast  Casino  Hotel . Usherettes  will  be  assisting  you  to  your  tables . This event ends  at  midnight .

Dear Marie,
Ready or not, rest be assured that I'll be on the stage, kung may state! Ha, ha, ha!!!
Talagang pilya ka our dearest friend! Ang daming mga mahuhusay na taga Mangaldan na kumanta, ako pa ang pinili mo! Hope hindi ako silipin ng mga "kabaleyans" dahil hindi nila ako kilala! Anyway, ikaw naman ang bahala, di ba!
Kung hindi lang ikaw, hindi mo ako mapapakanta sa harap ng maraming tao na mememoryahin ko ang kakantahin! Kung "karaoke" at mayroon akong babasahing lyrics sa TV screen, kahit na 10 kanta, no problem! Sana hindi ko malimutan iyong lyrics na kakantahin; otherwise, nakakahiya! Well, sabi nga it's a part of having fun, right?
Si Boy Aquino talagang mahusay at marami siyang kantang memoryado, ako talagang wala!!!

Wow, dear Marie!!! With this announcement, I am sure everybody's very excited about the forthcoming MIO Grand Reunion! The adrenaline is rising, so to speak! I feel the same and look forward to seeing our "kabaleyans" I haven't seen for many years, most especially Jean, (Virginia) our former classmate and friend. Hope she can make it! Although she's on the list, she told me that her attendance at the reunion depends on her husband's health condition!
Seems everything is going on smoothly and everybody's in for a lot of fun. Too bad, Ross and I won't be able to join the Grand Canyon tour much as we wanted. Ross can't get several days off; he can only get one day -- Friday, Oct. 23rd.
